As part of its series of training of trainers (TOT) on agroecological practices for environment-friendly and climate resilient cacao cultivation, the Sustainable Farming in Tropical Asian Landscapes (SFITAL) Project conducted a Trainers’ Workshop on Clonal Diversification and Post-harvest Protocols for Cacao last 2 April 2025 in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro. Over 30 field extensionists, farmer leaders, and representative from partner academic institutions were trained during this activity. One of the topics discussed is the guidelines for approproate selection of quality planting materials for cacao-based agroforestry systems. Erwin Albios, SFITAL site coordinator for Davao de Oro, led the discussion.
