As part of its series of Trainings of Trainers (TOT) on Agroecological Practices for environment-friendly and climate resilient cacao cultivation, the Sustainable Farming in Tropical Asian Landscapes (SFITAL) Project in the Philippines held a TOT on Soil Health and Fertility Management for Cacao Cultivation last 26-27 June 2024 in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Discussions during the training incuded basic soil health concepts and principles, soil nutrition requirements of cacao, agroecological practices related to soil health and fertility management, and soil and water conservation for cacao-based agroforestry systems.
