Roadmap of Sustainable Cacao Development in Davao de Oro for 2025-2030, Vision to 2050

One of the key objectives of the Sustainable Farming in Tropical Asian Landscapes (SFITAL) Project is to develop roadmaps to scale-up and mainstream inclusive, sustainable, and transparent smallholder commodity value chains. To obtain this goal, the Project facilitated the creation of a roadmap of sustainable cacao development for Davao de Oro, together with local stakeholders from local government units, concerned national government agencies, academic institutions, and private sector partners. The participatory process of roadmap development entails four workshops to gather inputs from local stakeholders, transform these into strategies, intervention and activities, and refine the roadmap.

The final copy of the roadmap document can be viewed below.

This roadmap is a product of the fruitful collaboration among local stakeholders in the Province of Davao de Oro, particularly from the provincial and local government units, the Provincial Cacao Council, farmer cooperatives and associations, national government agencies, academe, and the private sector.
